Workflow: Energy Optimization for Revit

To use Energy Optimization for Revit, follow these steps.

Video: Perform and Energy Analysis

  1. Specify the location.
  2. Create the energy model.

Revit automatically creates an energy model from masses, detailed elements, or both.

  3. Generate the energy analysis.

Send the energy model to the cloud for simulation and analysis.

  4. Optimize building energy.

Autodesk Insight provides clear guidance on energy performance benchmarks and factors, and it helps drive better performance.

  5. Repeat.

Performing energy optimization early and often is key to achieving higher energy performance.

Note: When you first perform energy optimization, use the default energy settings, which are designed to provide high-quality, accurate results for most models. See Energy Settings.
