About Synchronizing View and Sheet Layers Workflow

After you set up your project so that the sheet view layer settings are updated from the layer settings in the model space of the view drawing, these settings do not have to be synchronized again.

1 Specify settings for the project Specify project properties once per project to synchronize layers between views and sheets.
2 Specify settings for the view Type VISRETAIN at the command line, and verify that this variable is set to 1 before saving and closing the view drawing. The setting is saved in the drawing template and should be verified before you create a sheet.
3 Specify settings for AutoCAD Architecture toolset Type VPLAYEROVERRIDESMODE at the command line, and verify that this variable for AutoCAD Architecture toolset is set to 1.
4 Add the view to a sheet Create a sheet, and drag the view onto the sheet or create and place a model space view on the sheet.
