About Working With Data Shortcut Projects in BIM 360

Autodesk Collaboration for Civil 3D, which is available when you subscribe to BIM 360 Design, lets you perform all data shortcut creation and management tasks in data shortcut projects that are stored in BIM 360.

If you don't have BIM 360 Design and Autodesk Collaboration for Civil 3D, you can perform some data shortcut related tasks with a BIM 360 Docs subscription. For example, you can open and work in drawings that contain data shortcut references, and you can synchronize and validate data shortcuts.

However, to create and manage data shortcuts and references in a BIM 360 project, you'll need access to Autodesk Collaboration for Civil 3D, which is available when you subscribe to BIM 360 Design.

The following table lists which tasks you can perform with BIM 360 Docs, and which ones require BIM 360 Design and Autodesk Collaboration for Civil 3D.
