Tip: If you routinely create sheet metal parts using a specific material, material gage, or parts which are produced using specific machines or tooling within your shop, consider creating unique templates for them.
Standard.iam (not available in Inventor LT)

Creates a weldment assembly. A weldment assembly file is an extension of the assembly environment, and contains specific commands to support the creation of weldments.

Standard.idw

Creates an Inventor drawing (.idw).

Standard.dwg

Creates an Inventor drawing (.dwg). Use an Inventor drawing (.dwg) template to create new Inventor drawings from a DWG format.

You can create a template from an .idw or .dwg drawing, preserving annotations on drawing sheets, such as custom symbols, notes, and revision tables. You can retain borders, title blocks, and view definitions in the template. View annotations and general notes are not saved in a template.
