Create a Wind Profile

Follow the steps below to create a wind profile.

1. Click LoadsWind loads simulation Generate Wind Loads. The Wind simulation dialog displays.
2. Go to the Wind Profile tab of the Wind simulation dialog. A graphic curve is displayed in the dialog.
3. Optionally, adjust the height of the wind profile.
   Note: The size of the virtual wind tunnel is set automatically, based on the size of the building. If the wind profile is bigger than the size of the wind tunnel, the simulation takes into account the wind loads in the inner limits of the wind tunnel only.
4. Click anywhere on the curve to create a point, and then drag this point to the required coefficient.
5. Enter a name for the wind profile in the Save Wind Profile box, and then click Save. The new name becomes available in the list of saved profiles.

You can reuse the name of an exiting wind profile if you want to update it.

To update an existing profile,

1. Modify the graphic curve as necessary.
2. Enter the name of the wind profile in the Name box, and then click Save.
