Open the Numbering dialog, which lets you define numbers for nodes, members, panels, and object, using either method:
- Click Geometry menu > Numbering.
- Click

The dialog box is divided into 2 parts: Nodes and Members/Panels/Objects:

Node number - Specifies the new number of the first node. |
Object number - Specifies the new number for the first member, panel, or object. |

Selection - List of nodes whose numbers will be changed. New node numbering is defined by two parameters: the number of the first node and the numbering step. |

The Members/Panels/Objects field lets you change the numbering for members, panels, or objects (arcs, circles, polylines).
There are 2 ways for changing the numbering of a structure elements:
- Standard numbering - Default option
- Geometrical numbering - Clicking Parameters opens the dialog where you can specify the parameters for geometrical numbering.
At the bottom of the dialog is the Confirmation of Changes in Numbering option. When selected, a change in the numbering of members, nodes, panels or objects is signaled by a warning message.
To change the numbering of objects in a structure using standard numbering:
- Specify the beginning node number in the Node number field or the member, panel, or object number in the Object number field.
- Specify the numbering step.
- Select the nodes, members, panels, or objects, whose numbering will change.
- Select the numbering type (standard).
- Click Apply.
To change the numbering of objects within a structure using geometrical numbering:
- Specify the number of the initial node in the Node number field or of the member, panel, or object in the Object number field.
- Select in the structure the node, members, panels, or objects, whose numbering will change.
- Select the numbering type (geometrical) and specify its parameters (in the Geometrical numbering box).
- Click Apply.
If no numbering conflict occurs (that is, the new number is not assigned to another node, member, panel, or object), the numbers of the selected node, member, panel, or object change.
