Select an icon or a block name from the block definitions displayed in the gallery. Click the location for the block reference.
Click the Recent Blocks option. From the Blocks palette, Recent tab, click and place the block reference. You can also use the drag-and-drop method for speed, but this method only uses the Scale and Rotation values specified under Options.
Click the Favorite Blocks option. From the Blocks palette, Favorites tab, use either the click-and-place or drag-and-drop method to insert the block reference.
Click the Blocks from Libraries option. From the Blocks palette, Libraries tab, use either the click-and-place or drag-and-drop method to insert the block reference. To choose a different drawing file or folder, click the Browse Block Libraries control () and specify the drawing file or folder.
At the bottom of the Blocks palette, choose one or more options to control the placement, scale, rotation, and automatic repetition. If you want the objects in the block to be inserted as individual objects instead of as a single block, select Explode.
Note: The slight delay in generating the blocks thumbnail preview does not affect the block insertion.
