A detail view style is a named collection of settings that control the appearance of detail boundaries, identifiers, and labels of detail views.
Detail view styles provide the means to quickly specify the format of the various constituent of detail boundaries and detail views. It is also a convenient way to ensure conformance to drafting standards (industry or project).
When you create a detail view, it uses the settings of the current detail view style. You can temporarily override a detail view styles when you create model documentation detail views. Thereafter, when you edit a detail view style, it is applied to all detail borders and detail views that use the style. The changes are not applied to the settings that are overridden.
