To Control the Display of Light Glyphs

A point light, spotlight, or weblight in a drawing is represented by a light glyph. You can control the appearance and visibility of light glyphs.

Set the Appearance of Light Glyphs

The color and size of light glyphs can be changed with the Light Glyph Appearance dialog box.

  1. Click Application menu  Options.
  2. In the Options dialog box, Drafting tab, click Lights Glyph Settings.
  3. In the Light Glyph Appearance dialog box, click Point, Spot, or Web to specify the type of light glyph to display in the Glyph Preview area.
  4. Do either of the following:
    • To change the colors assigned to light glyphs, click Edit Glyph Colors. In the Drawing Window Colors dialog box, Interface Element list box, select Light Glyphs or Light Web, and then specify a color for the setting from the Color drop-down list. Click Apply & Close.
    • To change the size of the light glyphs in the drawing, use the Glyph Size slider.
  5. Click OK twice to save the changes.

Show or Hide Light Glyphs

The visibility of all light glyphs in a drawing can be enabled or disabled.

Note: This display setting does not control the plotting of light glyphs.

Plot Light Glyphs

The visibility of whether light glyphs appear on a plot can be enabled or disabled.

  1. Select a point light, spotlight, or weblight in the drawing area.

    Alternatively, click Visualize tab Lights panel Dialog box launcher. Find In the Lights in Model palette, select the lights you want to modify.

  3. In the Properties palette, click the Plot Glyph property and select Yes from the drop-down list.
