To Draw Sloped Duct

  1. Add duct, and lay out the duct run, as explained in Drawing a Duct Run.
  2. Specify the point in the layout where you want to draw a duct run with a vertical slope.
  3. In the Properties palette Routing Options Slope format and specify Slope.
  4. Specify the end point for the sloped segment.
  5. To turn off sloped layout and return to horizontal runs, under Routing Options, enter a slope of 0.
  6. Continuing specifying points for the duct run geometry.

If you add a vertical segment at the end of a sloped segment, you may be prompted to choose a part. If a fitting with the proper angle does not exist, you can accept the creation of a custom transition.
