Use the Predefined Profile Sections dialog box to select a type of cross section and to use it for calculating the moment of inertia of similar contours in your drawing.
First Icon on the left Calculates the moment of inertia for the cross section of a rectangular prism. You are prompted to specify the width and the height of the rectangle. |
Second Icon Calculates the moment of inertia for the cross section of a hollow rectangular prism. You are prompted to specify the width and the height of the outer rectangle, and the thickness between the outer and inner surfaces of the hollow prism. |
Third Icon Calculates the moment of inertia for the cross section of a cylinder base. You are prompted to specify the diameter of the base. |
Fourth Icon Calculates the moment of inertia for the cross section of a hollow cylinder. You are prompted to specify the diameter of the outer circle, and the thickness between the inner and outer surfaces of the hollow cylinder. |
