Use this dialog box to specify the properties of the selected detail view.
Detail scale Specifies the scale for the detail view. |

Selected area scale Displays the scale of the area under the detail boundary. If the detail boundary is not in a scale area or title block, the selected area scale is the same as the model scale. |

Specify by absolute scale Sets the enlargement scale for the detail by an absolute scale. Select a preset value, or enter any desired scale. |
|
Specify by factor Sets the enlargement scale factor for the detail by a factor. Select a preset value, or enter any desired scale. |
|
Picks the scale automatically from a scale area or annotation you select. |
|
Detail boundary Specifies properties of the border that determines the content of the detail. |
|
Identifier Sets descriptive text to identify the detail. You can select a valid identifier from the drop-down list or type in a value, directly. Use “-” if you want to create a detail view without a label.
Note: The system does not validate values you directly type into this box.

Annotation leader Connects the detail label to the detail boundary with a leader line. |
|
Move Moves the detail border. |
|
Detail view Specifies additional properties of the detail. |

Label contents Specifies the textual content for the detail view label. You typically use the following fields within detail view labels.

Displays the Field dialog box, with the field category set to Model Documentation. When you exit the Field dialog box, the selected field is inserted at the current cursor position within the Label Contents box. If the cursor is not within the Label Contents box, the entire content of the box is replaced.
Note: The format settings of the Field dialog box do not apply to detail views created using the AMDETAIL command.

Detail in current space Creates the detail view in model space (for most cases). This option creates detail views in layout only if you are creating a detail view for a annotation view in a layout (this option creates the detail view in the layout containing the annotation view). |

Viewport of original in layout Creates the detail view in the specified layout. You can specify the layout using the drop-down list on the right. |

Viewport of copy in layout Creates a detail view in both model space and the specified layout. |

Associative Detail |
|
Create associative detail Creates the detail view as a mechanical structure entity. When you select this option, non-mechanical structure objects within the detail border are excluded from the detail view. |
|
Temporary hides the dialog box to enable you to remove or add mechanical structure objects for the detail view. You typically use this option to filter out objects from a detail view. |
|
Default Removes any filters and makes the detail view display mechanical structure objects that exist inside the detail boundary. |
|
Settings Displays the Detail View Settings dialog box for the drafting standard the selected detail view is based on. |
