The Create and Setup Reference Drawing step of the Extraction Template wizard captures information in order to create a “reference drawing”.
The reference drawing is a copy of the current drawing, and the rules in the extraction template are defined with reference to this drawing. If the typical drawing is not an AutoCAD Mechanical toolset drawing, or if it does not contain a properly configured drafting standard, you can specify the name of a drawing template that contains the proper BOM configuration. The wizard imports the drafting standard from the drawing template and sets up the BOM in the reference drawing.
