To Work With Alignment Point of Intersection Labels

You can label individual points of intersection or use the multiple point of intersection command and label all points. The multiple point of intersection command labels the PI points of all intersecting tangents, along with the PI point for any curves, or spiral-curve-spiral groups.

Point of Intersection labels can be added to implied points of intersection only if the implied points of intersection are visible.

This label type is affected by the point of intersection alignment property. The number of PI labels that are available will vary based on the specified option.

Note: You cannot label fixed spirals with the multiple point of intersection label command.

To add multiple point of intersection labels

Add labels at every point of intersection (PI) on the alignment, including the actual point of intersection of two tangents, as well as the virtual locations of the PI for curves and spiral-curve-spiral groups.

Labels are placed at all point of intersection on the selected alignment.

  1. Click Annotate tabLabels & Tables panelAdd Labels menuAlignmentMultiple Point of Intersection.
  2. Select the alignment to label.

To add point of intersection labels

Add point of intersection labels to selected points of intersections on the alignment.

You can label the point of intersection, or label the properties of curves, spirals, or curve groups within a point of intersection.

  1. Click Annotate tabLabels & Tables panelAdd Labels menuAlignmentPoint of Intersection.
  2. Select the point of intersection to label.
