To select a boss, pocket, or side feature

Select all the surfaces needed to create a boss, pocket, or side feature.

• To select all the surfaces of a boss feature, click Home tab > Select & Edit panel > Select > Select Boss, then click a single surface of a boss.
• To select all the surfaces of a pocket feature, click Home tab > Select & Edit panel > Select > Select Pocket, then click a single surface of a pocket.
• To select all the surfaces of a side feature, click Home tab > Select & Edit panel > Select > Select Side, then click a single surface of a side.

When you have selected all the surfaces, use Features & Manufacturing tab > Features panel > Mill from Surface to create the boss, pocket, or side feature.
