The Stock Axis corresponds to machine zero and the axis of rotation for an indexer. It is not normally displayed, but you can display it by selecting View > Show > Show Stock Axis from the menu. It is displayed as two vectors. One shows the axis of rotation and the other indicates the orientation of a 0
rotation.
