You can save commonly used configurations of objects to the part library and import them into your documents. For example, the library could include a collection of lines and arcs, single features with customized attributes for specific applications, or a collection of features that you use regularly.
To add an object to the part library
- Select an object.
- Select Home tab > Clipboard panel > Part Library.
- Click
Add Selected.
To import a part library object into a document
- Select Home tab > Clipboard panel > Part Library.
- Select an item in the part library.
- Click
Paste.
- Use the
Paste Special wizard to paste the item into the document.
To use folders to organize the part library
- Select Home tab > Clipboard panel > Part Library.
- Select an existing folder.
- Click
Add folder to create a sub-folder.
- To move a part library item into a folder, paste it into a document, select a folder, then add the item to the part library.
You can also import a part library within a folder.
To export a part library
- Select Home tab > Clipboard panel > Part Library.
- Click
Export to export all objects in the current library to an external library file.
These files have a
.nam extension.
To import a part library
- Select Home tab > Clipboard panel > Part Library.
- Select the folder into which you want to import the part library.
- Click
Import.
To create a pattern of part library objects
- Select Home tab > Part Program panel > Features.
- In the
From Feature section of the
New Feature Wizard, select
User.
- Select
Make a pattern from this feature.
- Click
Next.
- Select an object in the
User defined feature page, then click
Next.
- Use the wizard to create a pattern form the feature.
