You can convert 3D Shape objects into regular geometries. You can then export these geometries to the FBX format.

To convert a 3D Shape node into a geometry:
- Select the node.
- From the context menu, select
Generate Geometry.
The conversion first hides the original object, and then connect the new nodes to the parent node. These connections preserve the scene's integrity.
Limitations:
- You must reconnect the material to the new geometries.
- The original object's animation is lost. If the 3D Shape was animated, you must first go to the frame where the 3D Shape is as you want it, and then use
Generate Geometry.
- 3D Shape has tessellation controls not available to geometries. If the goal of the conversion is to modify the polygons in another software, make sure that you've set the tessellation to your liking before generating the geometry.
