Take a closer look at the Inventor Tolerance Analysis ribbon.

To access the Inventor Tolerance Analysis ribbon, click the Environments tab > Tolerance Analysis.

Stackup

  • New Stackup: Creates an automatic or manual tolerance loop and performs a stackup analysis of the dimension scheme.
  • Add Feature: Adds features to the stackup dimension scheme.
  • Add Offset: Creates additional feature thickness of non-designed material. Specifies a distance or offset between the parts with an associated tolerance.

Report

Captures and displays a snapshot for each stackup in the report and generates a report.

  • Take Snapshot: Saves the current view for inclusion in the analysis report. You can save a new snapshot for each stackup.
  • Show Snapshot: Displays the saved view snapshot for the current analysis.
  • Generate Report: Creates a shareable HTML report.

Manage

Settings: Opens a dialog box that allows you to specify the analysis type and default units in Metric (SI) and US Customary (USC) systems of measurements.
