Secure Pin Generator dialog box - Design tab

Sets parameters for design of a secure pin.

You must be connected to Content Center server and Content Center must be configured on your computers to insert components using Secure Pin Generator. If you are not connected to the Content Center, the Items area where you select the pin is grayed out.

See the Content Center Help, or About Configuration of Content Center Libraries to learn how to use the Content Center.

Access:

Ribbon: Design tab Fasten panel Secure Pin

Type

Selects the type of secure pin. There are two options for holes:

  • Through All - All holes are drilled through.
  • Taper Hole - Allows only selection of existing hole, and taper pin.

Placement

Specifies the placement of the secure pin.

The first pull-down menu is used for placement specification of the secure pin. You have 4 options to specify the secure pin position. Commands appropriate for your selection are enabled below the pull-down menu.

  • Linear - creates holes on a face with respect to two linear edges.
  • Concentric - creates holes on a face, concentric with a circular edge or cylindrical face.
  • On Point - creates holes which are coincident with a work point and positioned with respect to an axis, edge, or work plane.
  • By Hole - places components into the selected hole.

Commands for placement are used for placement specification of the created secure pin:

Note: Commands appropriate for the Placement option you select are displayed.

Displays the Custom Properties dialog box where you can change part parameters (length of secure pin, secure pin diameter, and so on).

Delete

Deletes the component.

Change Content

Displays a dialog box where you can select from filtered Content Center items.

Summary of Messages

Displays the reports about calculation. To open the Summary of Messages area at the bottom of the Calculation and Design tabs, double-click the double line at the bottom of the tabs or click the chevron at the bottom of the tabs.
