The search path concept of Intent is mapped to the project concept in Inventor. In addition, the Inventor project controls a number of aspects of Inventor across many Inventor parts, assemblies, and other files, as it does in Inventor.
The Inventor ETO Project Editor specifies the value of Intent project-level settings. As with Inventor, Intent project settings can be changed only when no Inventor documents are open. When a document is active, the Project Editor displays settings as read-only, and you cannot edit the settings.
When adopting parts or using designs from other projects, Intent assumes that rule values are expressed in the same units as the project specifies. They are not affected by the units the Inventor document uses.
