Autodesk Intent works in conjunction with Inventor software to capture design intent, and create engineering and configuration rules. Manufacturers can automate the creation of engineer-to-order products.
Before the 2012 release, Intent stored configuration settings in the registry. Currently, it stores them in the Intent.config file, located by default in the Program Files\Autodesk\Inventor ETO Components [version]\Bin folder. You can edit the Intent.config XML file with a text editor like Notepad, or an XML editor. You can modify some of the settings through the Intent user interface. Edits to the Intent.config file are like edits to the registry.
