Distributing the Installer

Network deployment method

The deployment is created at the network location specified when creating the deployment. Enable users to run the link in the deployment folder.

Other methods

Other options are available to distribute the installer. Create a zip (or other) archive of the standalone installer created by the configurator and send it to your end user.

Note: Installers are too large to upload in an email. Distribute the installers on a disk or place them in an online data management repository, such as Autodesk Buzzsaw, for customers to download.

There are many free tools available online that create self-extract and automatic-install archives.

In the root installation directory, a batch file is created that is invoked to start the installation. Options are available that allow for quiet installation, if requested.
