Use this dialog box to convert existing feature labels to MText or to a text layer. To create feature labels, use the Style Editor.

Convert Labels To
- Specify whether to convert the labels to MText entities or to an FDO text layer.

Select A Source Feature Layer
- Select the feature class whose labels you want to convert. You must be connected to the data store containing the feature class.

Select The Target
- If you are creating MText, select an existing AutoCAD layer or specify a new layer name. If you are creating a text layer, select the target feature class or click New File to create a new SDF or SQLite data store for the layer.
If you choose an existing data store, AutoCAD Map 3D toolset will append the text attribute to its schema. Choose from the following:
Note: You cannot directly convert labels to a SQL Server data store. However, if you convert them to a different data store, you can
Bulk Copy the label feature class to SQL Server.
If you create a new data store, AutoCAD Map 3D toolset connects to that file and displays the text layer in Display Manager.

Selection Scope
- To convert all labels on the selected feature class layer, click All Existing Labels For Selected Feature. (Only features that currently display a label will produce text in the result.) To convert only the labels for the selected feature class that appear in the current window, click Labels Within The View Window.
