Once you adjust a label, that label becomes an MText entity.
To reposition or reformat a label
- If necessary, create an AutoCAD layer to hold the MText entities that are created when you edit dynamic labels.
If you do not specify a layer, the MText entities are stored on the currently active AutoCAD layer.
- Click the feature label to adjust.
The Label Editing toolbar appears
- To assign this label to an AutoCAD layer, select the layer from the drop-down on the Label Editing toolbar.
The AutoCAD layer you select will appear in Display Manager, as well as in the AutoCAD Layer Manager.
- To move the label, click the reposition tool and drag the label to the desired position.
- To change the text content of the label, click the Edit Label Content tool and type the new text.
- To change the format of the label, use the text formatting controls on the toolbar.
By default, the label will use the font used by the AutoCAD layer to which you assign it. If you change the font for this label, your changes will override the layer setting.
- To add a leader line, click the Leader Line tool and draw the line.
- When you are finished adjusting the label, click outside the toolbar or press Esc.
