You can show or hide objects in the Viewer window using the Visibility and Visibility Inheritance properties in the Properties window.
Properties window A. VisibilityB. Visibility Inheritance
The behavior of Visibility property inherits by default. A child of a hierarchy inherits its visibility from its parent. If you turn off the visibility property parent of a hierarchy by deselecting the Visibility checkbox, the entire hierarchy becomes invisible in the viewer, even if the Visibility property of the child is turned on.
You can change this default by locating the <MachineName>.Application.txt configuration file in the MotionBuilder program files. The Visibility Inheritance option can be changed to reflect your preference.
You can control the inheritance behavior for each object by turning this option on or off. By turning Visibility Inheritance off for an object, those objects beneath it will no longer reflect the behavior of the parent. This property is useful to stop inheritance behavior from being propagated down a hierarchy.
