Before mapping the fiber orientations from the Moldflow model to the structural model, it is important to evaluate the differences in the two meshes.
From the mapping suitability plot above we can see that most of the model appears green in color, indicating there is sufficient mesh refinement to map results.
The image above shows that most of the potentially problematic areas lie near the edges of the tank and around the tank openings. These are locations where the fiber orientations are changing rapidly. A very fine mesh would be required to capture this rapid change in the fiber orientation tensor. Since we don't anticipate the tank edges or openings to be structurally critical, we will not refine the mesh.
