Open models, group clashes, and work with issues on models from Model Coordination, in both Autodesk Construction Cloud and BIM 360-based projects, directly in Navisworks using the Navisworks Coordination Issues Add-in.
Note: For BIM 360 projects, models must be stored in the
Project Files folder in the BIM 360
Document Management module. For Autodesk Construction Cloud projects, models must be stored in
Autodesk Docs. To use the add-in to access the models, the models must also be included in a coordination space in Model Coordination.
If you aren't already signed in, when you click options on the Coordination tab in Navisworks, or try to open a model from BIM 360 or Autodesk Docs via Desktop Connector, you will be asked to sign in to your Autodesk account using your Autodesk ID. This automatically gives you access to all the projects that you're a member of.
Note: Accessing Model Coordination data using the add-in is only supported for Navisworks 2020 and later. In Navisworks 2019, you can work with issues by opening models via Desktop Connector.
Open Models
Desktop Connector
- Click the Application button Open Open.
- Navigate to Desktop Connector for Autodesk Docs.
- Select your account and click Open.
- Select your project and click Open.
- Navigate to your model, and click Open.
Note: Only NWD files can be opened using Desktop Connector.
Specify Settings
You can edit the settings for the add-in, such as whether to display clashes in models opened from Model Coordination, using the Options Editor. See
Coordination Issues Add-In Page for more information.
