Rotary Attachment dialog (PartMaker)

Use the Rotary Attachment dialog to specify details of a rotary attachment for a gang tool post. Rotary attachments are used on some Swiss machines to allow 5-axis simultaneous cutting and 3 + 2 cutting.

To display this dialog, click the Rotary Attachment button on theTool Post Properties dialog.

Note: This button is available only in PartMaker/SwissCAM for gang slides that can rotate around the B-axis, as specified on the Machine Data File dialog.

The following settings are available:

Model Data — Click to display the Model Data dialog, where you can select a solid model to represent the rotary attachment during simulation.

Rotation Center (C) — Enter values in the Cx, Cy, and Cz fields to specify the point about which the rotary attachment rotates.

Note: The model's origin must coincide with this point.

Rotary Axis — Select the axis around which the attachment rotates.
