To create a probe tool

Create a probe tool to use with inspection strategies.

1. Click Home tab > Tool panel > Create Tool > Inspection Probe.
2. Enter a Name for the probe tool.
3. Specify the Tip Diameter .
4. Click Stem tab and specify the geometry of the stem .
Tip: The options on this tab are the same as creating shanks for milling tools.
5. Click Probe Body tab and specify the geometry of the probe body .
   Tip: The options on this tab are the same as the options for creating holders for milling tools.
6. Click Close.
