To open a read-only project

To open an existing PowerMill project in read-only mode:

1. Click File tab > Open > Read-only project.
2. Browse to a folder and select a project (projects are marked with ). Alternatively, you can type the pathname of the project in the Folder path.

   — Click to move to the My Documents folder in Windows.

   — Click to move to the Examples directory.

   — Click to move to the first user-defined folder path.

   — Click to move to the second user-defined folder path.

   You can customise the Examples, User Path 1, and User Path 2 folder paths using File tab > Options > Customise Paths.

3. Click OK to open the project and associated model.

You cannot save a read-only project with the same name as an existing project. If you want to save a read-only project you must save it with a different name, using the File tab > Save As option.
