Information entered into the Additional Electrode Details dialog is added to any setup sheet that is created for the electrode. You can specify an unlimited number of additional electrode details, and use them in setup and summary spreadsheets.
Note: Details entered into the Job Details box are remembered when a new electrode is created.
To add a new field to the Additional Electrode Details dialog:
- Click File > Info.
- On the File Properties dialog, click the Electrode Properties tab.
- Click

detail4 is displayed in the Name list.
- Select Yes from the Remember list to remember the electrode property and the assigned Value (name) for each electrode you create.
- Enter a name for the electrode property in the Value box. For example,
EDM Machine.
You can add the new electrode property to a drawing using the text substitution string %[detail4]. When you create an electrode, the details in the Value box appear in the generated setup sheet.
To enter details into the Value box:
- Create an electrode using the Electrode Wizard.
- On the General Options page, select Generate Setup Sheet.
- Click the first
button to display the Additional Electrode Details dialog.
Note: As Yes was selected from the Remember list on the File Properties dialog, the new EDM Machine field is remembered and becomes the default name for field 4.
- Enter the required details into the EDM Machine box, for example
FORM200.
When the setup sheet is generated, the details in the EDM Machine box are added wherever the substitution string %[detail4] is used. You can configure setup sheets, and add substitution strings by configuring drawing settings.
