Editing a feature

You can edit a feature in one of the following ways:

Editing a feature using the Edit tab

You can use the Move, Rotate, Mirror, Scale and Pattern options from the Edit tab on most features.

Note: You cannot apply these commands to some features, such as the fillet feature. PowerShape automatically deselects such features when you begin the edit command.

To edit a feature using the Edit tab:

  1. Select the solid containing the feature.
  2. Click Manage tab > State panel > Tree to display the Tree Window.
  3. Select a feature in the Tree Window.
  4. Click Edit tab > Transform panel, and choose from:
    • Move
    • Rotate
    • Mirror
    • Scale (Uniform scaling only)
    • Pattern

You can also use the Edit tab > Mode panel > Item/Sub-Item to switch between editing the item (the solid) or sub-item (the solid feature).

Note: When applying some Edit tab > Transform panel options to features, solid transform features are created.

To permanently delete a feature, select it in the graphics window or feature tree, and press Delete on the keyboard.
