Adding a component using the Intelligent Cursor

You can add components using the Intelligent Cursor:

1. Activate the assembly you want to create the component in.
2. Click Assembly tab > Component panel > Add Component.
3. Use the Add Component dialog to select a component to add to the model.
4. Click Apply. The component is attached to the cursor.
5. Click to position the component in the graphics window.

   It is automatically aligned to the geometry beneath the cursor.

You can also add existing components to an assembly:

1. Double-click the component in the assembly tree, or the thumbnail in the component library.

   The cursor changes to a icon, and the component graphics appear on the edge of the model window nearest to the cursor.

2. Click to position the component in the graphics window.
