The simulation of the electrode burning motion reflects the Extraction Vector you specified on the Select Region to Make Electrode page of the Electrode Wizard.
- Move the slider to the right, to simulate the upwards electrode motion.
- Move the slider to the left, to simulate the downwards electrode motion (the burning motion).
- If your electrode is extracted along the Z axis, the simulation shows the extraction as a continuous motion.
- If your electrode is extracted in a different direction, there are two stages to the extraction motion as shown below:
- The electrode is extracted along the extraction vector until it is clear of the burn region by the Vector clearance distance.
- The electrode is extracted as normal along the Z axis.
