Creating components from solids

You can create components from selected solids, and register their component definitions in one step:

1. Activate the assembly you want to create the component in.
2. In the graphics window or assembly tree, select the solids you want to create components from.
3. Click Assembly tab > Component panel > From Solids.
   Note: You can also right-click the solid in the assembly tree and select Add to Assembly from the context menu.

   The selected solids become components and remain in their original positions. Component definitions are automatically created for the components. The names of the components and their definitions are the same as the original solid.
