Geometry Mapping Tab (AutoPLANT to Plant 3D Class Mapping Dialog Box)

Selects graphic scripts and maps dimensional properties or parameters for them.

List of Options

Selects graphic scripts and maps dimensional properties or parameters from them.

External class names

Lists AutoPLANT class names that map directly to a Plant 3D class.

Add class name

Adds new AutoPLANT class names to the External Class Names list. Enter text into the box and click the + button to add a class name.

Note:

To reuse an existing script, right-click an existing class to copy the mapping information and then right-click the new class to paste the information. This action affects only this tab.

+ button

Adds a new AutoPLANT class name to the External Class Names list.

- button

Deletes an AutoPLANT class name from the External Class Names list.

External class name

Displays the AutoPLANT class name selected from the External Class Names list on the left pane.

Property names to match

Specifies AutoPLANT property names to be matched to Plant 3D endtype graphic scripts in varying contexts. In the dialog shown. For example, the conversion mapping instruction reads as follows: if the AutoPLANT END_COND_1 is SWF, use the Plant 3D script name CPTS_OFOFOF, if it is BW, use CPTS, and so on.

Separate multiple property names with commas.

Add script name (required)

Adds a Plant 3D endtype graphics script name to the list.

Add property value

Adds property values for the AutoPLANT property. In the dialog shown, the property is END_COND_1 and the values are SWF, SCF, BW, and so on.

+ button

Adds a new row that includes the entered script name and property value.

- button

Deletes a selected row that includes the entered script name and property value.

Parameter mapping

Specifies parameter mapping between Plant 3D and AutoPLANT. Each geometry mapping has a corresponding set of parameters, and these can vary depending on the shape.

The image that follows shows a Plant 3D threaded female tee in the catalog editor (size tab).

The Plant 3D dimension parameters for the shape are listed, and you can enter them in the Parameter Mapping table in the Plant 3D Parameter Name column. You can then enter the corresponding AutoPLANT property name (or value).

Here is an example in which the conversion mapping instruction reads as follows: for the selected mapping in the pane above, for the Plant 3D D1 parameter, use the AutoPLANT PIPE_OD_M, for D2, use the same, and so on.

Plant 3D parameter name

Specifies the Plant 3D graphic script dimension parameter to map to the AutoPLANT parameter.

External parameter name or value

Specifies the AutoPLANT parameter name, expression, or value to map to the Plant 3D parameter.
