Revit Home allows you to open files stored locally, on a network, or in Autodesk Docs.
This video demonstrates the following:
Revit data can be stored on a local computer, in a network location, or in a Autodesk Docs project. Revit Home provides a way to access and open your Revit data no matter where it is stored.
When you open Revit, the Home page displays. Recently used models are listed in the upper section, and recently used families are listed in the lower section. A badge indicates that a model is stored in a Autodesk Docs project. Use the controls on the left to open other models and families or to create new ones using a template.
When you sign into your Autodesk account, an additional node displays in the left panel, providing access to models hosted on Autodesk Docs. Use the pull-down list to choose the account and the project folder. Then navigate the project's folders to find the desired model. Click to open a cloud model, or use the ellipses (…) to specify worksets to open, or to audit a model.
Refresh the Autodesk Docs folder from the lower left corner of Revit Home.
Click Recent Files to return to the list of recently used files.
When working in a model or family, return to Revit Home by clicking Home on the Quick Access Toolbar. Click again, or click the back button to return to your work.
Use Revit Home to easily find and open all of your files from local resources or from Autodesk Docs projects.
