During installation, you can specify a top level path for Revit content. The sub folders for content are not configurable. These locations correspond to settings on the File Locations tab of the Options dialog in Revit, and settings in the Directories<%Language%> section of Revit.ini. Users can change these default locations after installation, if desired.
Within a deployment you can change the default location of where following content types will be installed to as desired:
IES Content - C:\ProgramData\Autodesk\RVT 2022\IES\
Library Content - C:\ProgramData\Autodesk\RVT 2022\Libraries\
Template Content - C:\ProgramData\Autodesk\RVT 2022\Templates\
Family Templates - C:\ProgramData\Autodesk\RVT 2022\Family Templates\
Lookup Tables - C:\ProgramData\Autodesk\RVT 2022\Lookup Tables\
Warning: Starting with Revit 2022, the use of Shared content behavior is no longer available. Providing a non-local drive location will cause each deployment installation to update the content within the non-local drive. This also includes the uninstall of Revit 2022 which has these paths set to a non-local drive, the content will be uninstalled along with Revit 2022 product. To utilize content on a non-local drive, refer to Working with Shared Content.
Note: When creating a deployment if you specify a custom Revit.ini file which have differing locations, the content will still be installed to the locations specified in this section.
If your organization is using Revit Server, specify the IP address or name of the desired Accelerator. The Revit Server Accelerator will support Revit worksharing activities for the computers on which the deployment is installed.
If you have created a customized version of the Revit.ini file you can use it within your installation of the software.
Note: Before following this procedure, read About the Revit.ini File for Installation.
In the Custom Revit.ini file name field, specify the file name of your custom Revit.ini
Once the deployment image is downloaded to your local environment, add the custom file to the deploy image within the "image" folder.
For example: A Revit deployment with name Revit2022-custom and a location of C:\deploy the custom file would be copied to C:\deploy\Revit2022-custom\image\.
During installation the custom file will be used as the default Revit.ini.
