Select a Circuit Path Mode

Select a predefined path for the circuit or specify a custom path.

The circuit path can include all devices or only the farthest device. When you modify the circuit path, a custom path is created and remembered, so that you can select it later on.

1. Select a component in an existing circuit, and click Electrical Circuits tabSystem Tools panel Edit Path.

   All components except those in the selected circuit are dimmed in the drawing area and the Edit Path toolbar displays.

2. On the Edit Path panel, select a Path Mode.
3. Select Farthest Device, All Devices.

   If you have modified the circuit path, you can select Custom as the Path Mode.

   Notice that the value for the Length is updated on the Edit Path panel.

4. Click Finish Editing Path to apply your changes or click Cancel Editing Path to discard your changes.
