Modify the size of connected fabrication parts using the Properties palette or the Edit Part tool.

In a Revit model, you can resize connected fabrication parts without changing their location in the model. In this example, we'll open an MEP model that has runs of ductwork and pipework fabrication parts.
Select a run of connected MEP fabrication ductwork. Here we've selected a run of rectangular straight duct. With the parts selected, edit the Main Primary Width field in the Properties palette. In this example, we're changing the width from 34 to 30. You may be notified that some parts will be disconnected.
For example, parts outside of the selection, such as transitions, bends, or square-to-rounds, may disconnect. Disconnect these parts and proceed.
Notice that the selected parts are automatically resized while maintaining their location in the model. Reconnect any disconnected parts using existing tools, such as Route & Fill or Quick Connect.
You can also resize connected parts that include tap connections. Select the connected parts, then edit the Main Primary Width in the Properties palette. In this example, the width is changed from 40 to 30.
Again, you may need to reconnect disconnected parts outside of the selection. Notice that the taps remain connected to the resized parts.
To resize fabrication pipework parts, which are typically product-listed parts, select the connected pipework parts in the model. Resize the selected parts by editing the Product Entry field in the Properties palette.
Again, you may be notified that some parts will be disconnected. Disconnect these parts and proceed. Reconnect any disconnected parts using existing tools.
You can also select a single connected part, pipe or duct, and resize it using the Edit Part tool. You can also select a single connected part, pipe or duct, and resize it using the Edit Part tool.
The Resize Connected Fabrication Parts feature significantly reduces the time it takes to resize connected fabrication parts in a Revit model.
