Edit a Structural Plate Sketch

After creating a structural plate, you can change its profile to modify its boundaries.

1. In a plan view, select the plate, and click Modify | Plates tab Mode panel Edit Sketch.

   Watch the tooltip and the status bar to be sure you select the plate, not another element. If desired, you can use a filter to select the plate. See Selecting Elements Using a Filter.

2. Use sketching tools to change the boundaries of the plate.
3. Click Finish Edit Mode.

• You can change the reference plane of the plate in Edit Sketch mode. The plane must be parallel to the current reference plane of the plate.
• If a plate has a modifier, the sketch will also be cut. If you exit the sketch editor without modifying the plate sketch, the modifier will be retained. If you modify the plate sketch, the modifier will be deleted, but the new plate shape will take into account the cut produced by it.
