The plate is created in the current work plane and view, according to the sketched contour.
Plates are only visible when the Detail Level of the view is set to Fine.
The plate boundary must be a closed contour.
A plate contour sketch can only contain a single closed contour.
A plate contour sketch with round edges will be displayed as a polygonal shape with convex or concave corner cuts.
Plates can be of two types: planar plates that you can sketch and create as individual elements and folded plates that are created only by some standard connections.
Note: As long as a folded plate is a sub-elements of a structural connection, it will only be modified by the connection; if you break the connection, the folded plate becomes an individual element and you can edit it. However, editing a folded plate contour sketch is not available.
