Sketch Independent Girders on Girder Slab Precast Assemblies

Manually add lattice girders into girder slab assemblies.

To insert independent lattice girders

1. Click Structure tab Work Plane tab (Set).
2. In the Work Plane dialog, select Pick a plane and click OK.
3. Select the bottom face of the girder slab assembly to set the work plane.
4. Click Structure tab Model tab Component drop-down (Place a Component).
5. In the Type Selector at the top of the Properties palette, select Girder Slab - Lattice Girder.
6. Sketch additional girders onto a girder slab by clicking beginning and end points.
   
7. In the Properties palette under constraints, adjust the Offset parameter to match the offsets of the original girders in the slab assembly (if necessary).
   

When you sketch girders onto girder slab assemblies in this way, they are independent of the reinforcement rules of the assembly. If you change or remove the reinforcement configuration of the slab assembly, these independent girders will remain as placed.

Tip: Use the (Mounting Parts) tool to replace missing rebar trusses that may have been lost in edited assemblies.
