When your design calls for an elliptical shape, create the walls directly with the ellipse and partial ellipse tools in the Draw panel.

For example, an oval-shaped office is required in this design. Select the Wall tool, and on the Draw panel, select the Ellipse tool. Notice that in the Options bar, Offset is not included. Offset values cannot be used when placing ellipse or partial ellipse walls.

To place elliptical walls, specify the major and minor axis of the ellipse. In this example, reference planes were added to the plan to help with the positioning of the ellipse.

Doors and windows are placed in elliptical walls in just as they are in other walls.

Keep in mind there are some restrictions when working with elliptical wall segments. Check the help documentation for best practices when using elliptical walls.

Use elliptical wall segments for greater flexibility as you add walls to your models.
