Autodesk® Vault is purpose-built to help you more efficiently manage your engineering data, improve collaboration within your teams, and take control of your product development processes. Vault is tightly integrated with more than 30 Autodesk design applications and provides powerful revisioning and access control capabilities. With simplified installation and optional multi-site scalability, Vault is used by Autodesk customers worldwide to connect their people and processes so they can get more done, better, in less time.
This release of Vault delivers enhancements requested by you and the Vault user community that enables you to accelerate overall design creation and data management experience significantly.
Administration Experience
- Autodesk ID Sign-on: Integrated Autodesk ID with user authentication and management to control authentication and access to the Vault environment.
- User Management Enhancements: Significant enhancements have been made to the user management experience for CAD administrators such as one interface for managing users and groups, friendly display names, configuring user authentication options, and creating profile attributes.
- Vault Replication Technology: With Vault 2022 we have upgraded replication technology to better scalability and performance.
Productivity Enhancements
- Model States: We have added support for the most requested enhancements in Inventor 2022 called Model States. This new workflow provides a convenient way to engineer, manage, and manufacture your designs.
- Duplicate Search: You can now filter duplicate search results in the Find Duplicate panel within Inventor.
- Show Details in the Inventor Add-in: This allows you to turn off the Assign/Update item command in the Show Details panel within Vault Browser in Inventor.
New Thin Client
The Thin Client has been revamped in the 2022 release of Vault. With an entirely redesigned and modern interface, the new Thin Client offers many unique capabilities. The interface is improved to make finding and viewing your vaulted data quick and easy. You can navigate workspaces, change vaults, and open file previews in a few clicks.
Vault Mobile App
Connect Vault users and collaborators to their data and each other - anytime, anywhere with Autodesk Vault mobile app.
Autodesk Vault mobile app gives you the flexibility to access and work with your vaulted design and engineering data on your mobile device. Use the Vault mobile app to search Vault, view and review designs, check out and check in non-CAD data, view the bill of material items, change lifecycle states, and create and participate in change orders. We are excited to announce that the Autodesk Vault mobile app is available for mobile iOS and Android devices in the Apple App Store and Google Play Store.
Other Enhancements
- System-defined properties: Added new system properties "Latest Approver", "Latest Released Date", and "Has Model State" in Vault.
- User Login Information: The user's login information is now written to the audit log file on the Vault server.
