Use the Export Feature Lines to SHP command to transfer survey linework data from an
Autodesk Civil 3D drawing to a SHP file.
After exporting your linework data to a SHP file, you can include the file in the import event for another drawing.
The linework may include feature lines, 2D polylines, or 3D polylines. Selected property set data will also be included in the export.
Note:
- This export process does not include AutoCAD Map 3D object data.
- The shapefiles created may not match the original shapefile data. During the import process, the original shapefile attributes information may be changed. The value is exported as a text value instead of a number.
- In the Toolspace, on the Toolbox tab, expand SHP Import/Export Utilities
SHP Import/Export. Double-click Export Feature Lines to SHP to open the
Feature Line Export SHP File dialog box.
- Click
to display the Open File dialog box. Use this dialog box to specify the file name and path where the SHP file will be located.
- Select the attributes data you want to include in the export.
- Click OK to start the export, which creates the SHP file at the location you set in step 2.
