Use the Trim Feature Lines at Boundary command to trim feature lines within a selected area so that they end precisely at boundary edges defined by other selected objects.
- In the Toolspace, on the Toolbox tab, expand SHP Import/Export Utilities
Geometry and Breakline Tools. Double-click Trim Feature Lines at Boundary to open the
Trim Feature Lines at Boundary dialog box.
- Select or define the boundary.
- Select the feature line(s) or other linework to trim.
- Specify whether to trim inside or outside the boundary.
- Select the Retain Property Set Data check box to preserve the property set data on each piece of the trimmed objects.
- Select Delete Objects Inside/Outside the Boundary to delete the objects that are completely inside or outside the boundary.
- Click OK.
