Non-linear Hinge Model

Clicking Definition of hinge model in the Non-linear Hinge Definition dialog box, opens the dialog for defining a hinge model, that is, it creates a pushover curve diagram (the dependence of force on a displacement, moment on a rotation or stress on a strain in a given hinge) and determines additional hinge parameters. A diagram of a defined curve displays at the top of the dialog.

Right-clicking in the diagram at the top of the dialog, displays a shortcut menu with the following options:

• Diagram Parameters.
• Screen Capture.
• Copy - Copies a function diagram to the clipboard.

Note: (0,0) should be the central point in the diagram.

The Definition of non-linear hinge model dialog has 3 tabs:

• Pushover curves
• Points
• Parameters.
