About Adding Custom Report Fields

Each report type has a set of predefined fields available to include in the report. The User Attributes tool adds fields to reports that are not available within the set of predefined fields. Find

The following can be added to the User Attributes list:

• Any attribute on components, including standard AutoCAD Electrical toolset attributes.
• Xdata with a “VIA_WD_” prefix. Do not include the prefix when entering the field name in the list.

The following naming convention and search sequence is used:

1. <project name>.wda located in the same folder as the .wdp file for the active project
2. default.wda located in the base project folder

The maximum allowable entries in the .wda file is 150.

Note: This feature does not add values from wire number blocks, cable marker blocks, or conduit markers.

Export to Spreadsheet

The fields in the User Attributes list are also added to the fields exported in the Export to Spreadsheet feature. Add the fields in the User Attributes list to the wd_xls_all_template.xlt worksheets to include these fields with the General export option. The default location for the spreadsheet template is C:\Program Files\Autodesk\AutoCAD {version}\Acade\Support\{language code}.
